Not one thing set in stone but many big things you will encounter along the way due to your choices which is your "free will" the bigger picture being your "destiny" the circumstances you encounter being your "fate" which is determined by your free will . So yes, everything happens for a reason, mostly to teach you the lessons you are meant to learn but all leading you one way or another to exactly where you need to be.
